Terry Pratchett es un liberal fantástico


Terry Pratchett es un peculiar escritor británico del género fantástico y el favorito de millones de personas en todo el mundo, ostentando records de ventas solamente superados por la autora de Harry Pottet, J. K. Rowling. Este caballero de la Orden del Imperio Británico y vecino de Stonehenge, ataviado con su sempiterno sombrero negro, destaca por su desbordante imaginación, por la agudeza de sus comentarios y por el estilo cómico, irónico y mordaz que imprime a sus novelas, entre las que cabe destacar la saga de "Mundodisco", un fabuloso mundo paralelo en el que se parodian muchos aspectos de nuestro mundo real. En el aspecto ideológico, Pratchett está considerado como una de las principales referencias liberales (léase en inglés "libertarian"), pues sus novelas están cargadas de historias y comentarios que apoyan esta ideología, así como de demoledores ataques al intervencionismo estatal.
